Moxie: The New Haven Federation of Musicians

MOXIE's upbeat swing music draws primarily from the
jazzy styles of the famous female vocal trios like the
Andrews and the Boswell Sisters. The group's repertoire,
suitable for audiences of all ages, includes songs like
Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Duke
Ellington's Take the A Train and much more. Forties style
costumes complete the act.

Recent appearances were at Levitt Pavilion in Westport,
Fairfield University, New Canaan, Trumbull Arts Festival,
Shoreline Arts Association Cabaret night, Holyoke MA,
Norwalk, Naugatuck, New London, Woodbury, and
Stratford. Previous performances were at First Nights New
Haven and Hartford, the International Festival of Arts and
Ideas, Shoreline Arts Alliance Concert Series,
Wethersfield, West Haven, Wallingford, Springfield,
Southington, Orange, Hartford, Hebron, East Hartford and
East Hampton.

MOXIE is available for indoor and outdoor concerts,
private and corporate parties, community events and for
school audiences through Young Audiences of CT with
their program, "The MOXIE Radio Hour." Partial funding
may be available through MOXIE's membership in the
Connecticut Commission on the Arts Performing Artists
Roster.

Their CD, "Hit That Jive!" and a live performance
videotape are available upon request.
